Sophia Morrison taught art for the Calgary School Board, University of Calgary, and was instrumental in developing an art curriculum for Alberta junior high schools. Her involvement in art centers across the province won an award from Alberta’s Minister of Culture. Her clay work was exhibited at an international competition in Faenza, Italy.
StatementMy work is exploratory in techniques but always leaning towards strong composition. I believe nature is the supreme designer and whether a work is representational or abstract, nature delivers all.
