'Starburst' was created over two sessions that occurred between the hours of 11pm to 4am. I often only paint in late hours of evening as I feel awakened by wonder and the silence of the night. The universe is one of my biggest inspirations in the imagery that I create, which then leads to seeing all kinds of other relational patterns found in nature as the paint momentum unfurls. In 'Starburst', I see a giant hummingbird buzzing away (right half). Here, my creative imagination whirs and is inspired by night owl-syndrome where I can hear my own thoughts, feelings, and draw upon excitement to invent
