'Coral' was inspired by reflections of my artist identity and my art therapist role. The artist identity section of the painting started as a pool of wet within wet colored expanding droplets on the left side, and the art therapist identity with the reversal of the same applied colors on the right. I contemplated the idea of mirrors, and how these roles in my life have spatial boundaries yet rely on intersection points where they inform and permeate each other. Visually, I see underwater coral, mirroring galaxies of the universe, as my own interdimensionalities occur somewhere in between.
