As I get older, I often think about what happens to my spirit after I leave this planet. When I was sitting at Esquimalt Lagoon one day after my Dad passed and saw a flock of birds lifting off, I captured this image. When I reviewed it at home, they looked like ethereal spirits departing this realm and I thought "That's where I want to go too...where the animals and birds go when it's time to leave this life."
