Steffen graduated with degrees in chemistry and has worked in a number of countries including Canada, France, Germany and Malaysia.
He now organises events and manages the office for a local Arts Council.
The art that inspires me has a technical component. Whether it is fluorescent paint, magnets or physical concepts, there has to be something that speaks to the scientist in me. For this reason, my art focuses on 3D constructions. Things that have depth and can be examined from many angles. Especially art that makes you think, "How was this made?" or "What am I looking at?"
Whenever possible, a second component of my art is humor. A creation that elicits a smile in the viewer is the best result.
